TAS RECYCLING, formerly known as TAS Recycling, is a multi-state metal recycling and salvage operation with deep roots in the southeastern United States. After launching operations in Knoxville, Tennessee in 2013, the company has steadily expanded, now operating two additional locations in Knoxville, as well as facilities in Tampa, FL (acquired in 2019), Marion, NC (acquired in 2021), and most recently, Kingsport, TN.
With a team of over 100 employees, TAS RECYCLING specializes in the recycling of junk vehicles and the recovery of high-value scrap materials including copper, aluminum, steel, brass, and batteries. The company dismantles end-of-life vehicles and industrial scrap, sorting and processing materials to serve both domestic and international markets through active export operations.
In 2024, TAS RECYCLING expanded its capabilities with the addition of a copper mill in Knoxville, allowing for in-house refining and enhanced copper recovery—further solidifying its position in the metal recycling industry.
TAS RECYCLING holds all current industry certifications and is committed to environmental responsibility, ensuring all operations meet or exceed regulatory standards. Sustainability and compliance are at the core of its mission, with each process carefully managed to reduce environmental impact and support long-term resource conservation.
